  • Message from the Publisher:
Here it is! The third and final part of the enthralling Secret of the Skulls!
Artist Paul Ryan has turned in another excellent rendering of Claes Reimerthi's script. Take your time reading it (you will enjoy the art as much as the script) and resist the temptation to look at the final pages to discover how this adventure unravels! There are, after all, enough surprises at the start of this final episode. Remember that at the end of part two The Phantom was shot three times and plummeted from a helicopter!
Our next edition will be the 2003 Christmas Special (#1372), on sale 19 December. Covers are by Antonio Lemos and this year's Special will contain a new adventure and two classics from the golden years of Lee Falk.
I'll be fascinated to hear your reaction to Secret of the Skulls, which I much earlier tipped would be voted the best story of 2003. Our deadline for correspondence on the best stories and covers for the year will be immediately after the Christmas Special goes on sale on 19 December. So - put pen to paper or hit the keyboard and submit your nominations for both categories. The results will be published in the 2004 Annual Special, which also as usual, will be accompanied by a bonus replica of a vintage Frew edition. The replica will be of Frew #13, published in 1949, which contains Part One of Lee Falk's famous The Golden Circle (1939-40) adventure, with art by Ray Moore. 2004 Annual Special on sale 9 January 2004!

    Phantom Diary
Good news for Phantom Diary fans! The 2004 Diary is now on sale and contains an interesting collection of cover artwork from Phantom comic books published throughout the world.
