Gold Key - The Phantom

All stories were illustrated by Bill Lignante. The wonderful painted covers were by George Wilson, except for three (reported to be #5, #12 and #13). All stories were adaptations of the original newspaper strip stories, except for issues #11, #12 and #13. The scripts were written by Bill Harris (#1 to #10) and Bill Lignante (#11 to #17).

  • the first 8 issues of Gold Key's Phantom had posters on the back cover. These were identical to the front covers except that the text was removed. All subsequent issues (including King and Charlton) had advertisements on the back cover.
  • The Rattle and The Test from Gold Key #2 were republished in black and white by Frew in issues #236, #370, #529 and #710.
