The Phantom:
A Publishing History in the U.S.A.

King Comics - The Phantom

King #18

All stories were created specifically for King Comics with art by Bill Lignante, with only one exception. The Cold Fire Worshippers in King Comics #25 was first published by Fratelli Spada of Italy in Avventure Americane #152 (31 Oct 1965, first two pages skipped in the King Comics reprint), with art by Senio Pratesi (thanks to Romano Felmang for this information). The covers by Sy Barry were all paste-ups of panels taken from the newspaper strips. Thanks to the Grand Comics Database for writer credits.

The Code column in the table indicates either the original newspaper strip story that was adapted (eg. S60), the Frew issue that reprinted the story (eg. #1026), or the Italian comic that the story was reprinted from.
