A Publishing History in Sweden

(The Phantom - The Ghost Who Walks)

Den Vandrande Vålnaden Nr.1/1996

In 1996, SEMIC launched a third Phantom title; Fantomen - Den Vandrande Vålnaden (The Phantom - The Ghost Who Walks) in honour of the strip's 60th anniversary. It featured Falk-Barry daily strips, published chronologically, and Mandrake Sundays from the 1950s as backup. The monthly magazine was 52 pages in full colour. The idea was that it would be an ongoing series in parallel to Fantomen and Fantomen Krönika, but it was cancelled after only 9 issues. The upside was that the chronological reprints of Falk-Barry dailies continued in the Fantomen magazine.
